From 2000AD Prog #1713, the comic that's got part 2 of Brendan McCarthy's Judge Dredd fever-dream "Doctor What?" in it. I don't know why Marvel doesn't lead their books off with gloriously trenchant bits of pop bile like this...
@Robin yeah, it's fun reading 2000AD just because so much of the reason I read genre comics is to really stick my head into something totally foreign for a minute. The Englishness of it is a great aid for that. Plus, that comic is WEIRD. Has anybody seen Slaine lately, what the HELL? I've been trying to think of something to write about it just so I can post a bunch of those crazy photoshop pages. Clint Langley = my hero.
@Mark I think Tharg is totally awesome. It sets such a tone, and any extra content in comics is better than the lack thereof. Compare that to the average lifeless Marvel recap page and it's just on a different plane. I'd totally read a "Collected Tharg's Nerve Center" book. You don't get that anywhere else.
